Education
In recent years Adlib have focused more time into the training and development of young/new staff members by offering them a forum.
Once a week, staff have the opportunity to present their questions to a senior engineer and put the answers into practice. Using in-house equipment, staff have the chance to develop their skills in the main areas involved in music technology. Acoustics and signal processing play a large part in the technical processes involved in gaining high quality results.

Understanding how a speaker works, measuring it’s output and understanding the properties of components, will aide in dynamic system set-up in a range of different acoustic environments. These skills will help in accessing situations and setting targets in a variety of environments.
Learning the fundamentals of signal processing provides staff with a set of skills that will adapt to any situation.
Understanding the flow from input to output, the affect of electrical components on signal quality and getting the most out of the equipment are important in providing the best sounds and the best performances.
Above all we hope these skills instill a sense of pride and professionalism among our staff, while at the same time providing students and aspiring engineers with a target to work to.
