Cool Cut & Dash for ADLIB Audio
ADLIB Audio’s engineers Dave Kay (FOH) and Ben Booker (monitors) have been working with band-of-the-moment, the Scissor Sisters, on their current UK tour This has been an action-packed mixture of support slots with Duran Duran plus their own headline shows.
The challenging schedule also included one 12 hour period with three Scissor Sisters shows, and ADLIB supplying a complete sound system for the band’s Carling Live 24 event appearance at Brixton Academy.
On Saturday 1st May, Scissor Sisters started their evening opening for Duran Duran at Wembley Arena. They then drove across London to Brixton Academy to make their 11. 00 headline slot, which was the highlight of the Carling Live 24 event. As soon as they left the stage, band and crew were whisked off to a helipad in Elstree, North London, and helicoptered to Shugborough Hall, Stafford in the West Midlands, to headline the Renaissance dance festival event, where they were onstage at 3.30 a.m.
For the Brixton show, ADLIB supplied a Nexo Alpha PA system ? twenty-four M3, twenty-two B1 and twelve S2 sub cabinets, a Midas Heritage H3000 and a Soundcraft Series 4 console at FOH and two Midas XL3 consoles for monitors. Support included Lamb and DJ’s Queens of Noize.
